Use case
Field teams: the office goes with them
Installers, technicians and supervisors spend the day out of the office, but customers call them all the same. With the extension on their mobile, they answer with the company number, not their own, and no call is lost because someone is out on the road.

The situation
When the team works in the field, customer calls end up going to each technician's personal mobile —or simply aren't answered—. The company number is left uncovered, there's no record of what was said and, when someone leaves, the customer keeps calling a number that's no longer anyone's.
What we propose
- The cloud PBX extension rings on the technician's mobile through an app: they answer with the company number.
- If they can't take the call, it goes to voicemail or is redirected to another extension, without the customer noticing they're in the field.
- The number belongs to the company, not the technician: if they change teams, the extension is reassigned and the customer keeps calling the same place.
- Calls are logged to coordinate visits and follow up.
What you gain
Coverage of the company number even when no one is in the office, privacy for the technician (they don't give out their number) and continuity when staff rotate. IP telephony makes the physical location stop mattering.
Frequently asked questions
Does the technician need a special phone?
No. They use their own mobile with an app; the extension rings there and answers with the company number.
Does it use up the technician's data?
The app uses the internet (wifi or data) only while there's a call. Usage is low and the company plan can be used.
Does your team work outside the office?
We'll show you how to bring the company number to every technician's mobile, with logging and without giving out personal numbers.
